Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain, that has very few side effects. It is done by a Chiropractor to treat areas of pain called Trigger Points. It can be used by almost anyone for a variety of pain problems.
With Dry Needling, your provider will push thin needles into the trigger point to stimulate the tissue’s healing process. They do not inject medication. It is used to increase range of motion that can be limited due to scar tissue or tightness in the muscle. If the muscle is sensitive or has trigger points in it, you can feel a muscle cramp or “twitch”.
Dry Needling can be used to treat, but not limited to:
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Trigger Point Injections
